Senator McCain, August 27, 2008
I am writing to tell you why I became a Republican, and why I think it is important for your campaign and for our party. There is one reason why I became a Republican, and only one reason: my mother. My mother has inspired me to achieve many great things in my life, including learning about and devoutly remaining loyal to the Republican party.
My mother, a lifelong Republican, like Hillary Clinton, was a Goldwater girl in 1964 -- she travelled all over Hale County, Alabama convincing its citizens that a century-long boycott of our great party needed to end in order for their best interests to truly be served. It was a difficult job that did not yield an election victory, but it inspired and furthered a belief in Republican principles in my mother that remains strong and vibrant.
As a political and economic systems teacher, my mother not only influenced me but many others to strongly consider the party that stands for less government and more individual liberties, that believes in protecting our security at home and abroad, and that encourages the American entrepreneurial spirit. My mother taught me about the true greatness of Richard Nixon, of the leadership of Theodore Roosevelt and of the courage of Abraham Lincoln. I was fortunate enough to be old enough to witness Ronald Reagan's magnificence, but my mother was the one explaining why Reaganomics formed a sound economic policy and why Reagan's foreign policies would end the Cold War.
I write to tell you this because I see a tremendous opportunity for you, Senator McCain, as the visionary you are to lead our party to groundbreaking new places that would open people's eyes to the fact that our party is the party which truly represents the party of opportunity and liberty, and would destroy the use of identity politics to undermine the Republican Party's message. By naming a strong female candidate as your vice presidential nominee, whether it be Kay Bailey Hutchison (whom I supported in an earlier email) or Carly Fiorina or Meg Whitman or Condoleeza Rice or Sarah Palin, we as Republicans could show women who respects their voice and who lifts them to higher levels.
There are many ways which one chooses their party affiliation, but please do not underestimate the power of primacy. Many, if not most or all, people first learn about party affiliations from their parents, and often from their mothers. My mother inspired me to do many things, including to become an attorney (who will be proudly volunteering for Lawyers for McCain) and of course, to be a proud Republican. By reaching out to female voters by naming a female vice presidential nominee, the Republican Party could potentially gain the trust and loyalty of many women who are or could become mothers who might impact their children the way my mother has impacted me.
One further point: I have an 18-month old daughter whom I will teach about Republican values, but whom I will support no matter what party affiliation she chooses in the future. It would make my heart swell with pride if I would be able to tell her that it was a Republican woman who became our nation's first female vice president and it truly was possible for her to achieve whatever she wants in life. Like her or not, watching Hillary Clinton's campaign this spring gave me pride when I held my daughter because I was able to tell her that anything can be achieved -- I want my party to show women that it is the party where that is truly possible.
Please do not underestimate your ability to do something historic here: Walter Mondale may be remembered as the first presidential candidate to name a female vice presidential nominee, but you would be remembered as the first President who named a female to be their Vice President, and as the man who revolutionized the Republican Party and its relationship with our nation's many strong women. God bless you, and the best of luck in the coming days and weeks.
All the best,
Richard C. Wetzel, III, Esq.

A 17 Year Old Pregnant Girl
We're hearing a lot of criticism by the mainstream media and the Democratic blog hackers these days about a 17 year old pregnant girl. Wonder why these same people didn't criticize a similar situation when Stanley Ann Dunham of Kansas found herself pregnant and unmarried at 17? Oh, that's right. She gave birth to a boy named Barack Hussein Obama so that's okay. After all, he turned out to be a Democrat. Isn't it interesting that apparently his mother was pro-life instead of pro-choice at that particular time?

Joe Biden's Advice to Israel
Well, it seems the foreign policy expertise of Joe Biden makes him qualified to advise the Israelis: accept a nuclear Iran. Wonder what the Israelis think of his preposterous position which would lead to the possible destruction of Israel?
Read it for yourself at Joe Biden Advises Israel to Accept a Nuclear Iran.

Dem Criticism
The reaction of the Dems to John McCain's selection of Governone Sarah Palin is without a doubt disgustingly nothing more than sour grapes. The truth is they had two shots at having a woman on their ticket. Twice the Dems rejected a woman. McCain chose a woman as his running mate, and the Dems have decided to belittle her, criticize her lack of experience, which is a laughable criticism.
Sarah Palin has 16 years of executive experience. Now the Dems decided to ridicule her mayoral position of a small town. Is this an attempt to belittle small town USA? Is this an attempt to ridicule middle America? Well, here's a news flash for the Dems and the Obama campaign: The heart and soul the America is small town USA. Not everyone chooses to live in the Big Apple, the City of Brotherly Love, nor the Windy City.
Sarah Palin is the only candidate to have run a government (Barack Obama has run the Chicago Democratic Machine's ground efforts to distribute campaign money to street workers), and Sarah Palin is the only candidate to serve as Commander-in-Chief serving as the Commander-in-Chief of the Alaska National Guard.
The Obama campaign needs to remember: Judge not, lest ye be judged.

Star Studded Acropolis or the Common Man?
John McCain does not need the trappings and endorsement of Hollywood, nor does he need the colossal grandiosity of a star studded stage and night for the American people to know that he has and remains ready to serve the people of the United States. He knows what it is to cling to faith out of love and compassion for his fellow soldiers and the American people.
Joe Biden says we don't need a good soldier. Wrong, again, Joe. We always need good soldiers serving our nation whether it is at home or abroad.
John McCain is the man who can lead us by establishing Our Country First: Reform, Prosperity, and Peace.
God Bless the great people and especially the good men and women who serve this nation, and God Bless the United States of America.

Now is the Time!
The time has come for the Republican Party to stand up for the party values that it demonstrated in 1854..liberation and equality. Senator McCain could be the maverick, the leader who says it is time to recognize the power and leadership of women. Women have taken the back seat in this party, in this election process for far too long.
My great great grandfather was one of the first Republicans in the state of Alabama in 1861 when he decided to leave the Democratic Party and stay with the Union. I am proud of his courage to go outside the box and take a risk. He was a hero to many then, and he remains a hero to me. He stood up for what was right and good.
I urge the Senator to look at what needs to be done for the faithful women of this party and nation who need the chance to lead. Kay Bailey Hutchison is the right woman, who has experience and leadership. Now is the time to lead, not follow.

Gas Prices on the Rise!
When the Russians invaded democratic Georgia recently, it was done for two reasons. First, Putin is leading a movement to restore the Soviet Union, and this was the first step in the re-acquisition of the former satellites. Second, Georgia has an important oil and gas line running to a port on the Black Sea.
Putin, make no mistake, is still in power. He was the former KGB chief under the USSR and knows how to play hardball. When the USSR collapsed, Putin remarked that this was the greatest tragedy in Russian history.
Ever since the days of Peter the Great, the Russians have sought a “Window on the West” so they could access economic resources and wealth. Georgia’s port, oil, and natural gas meet that “Window on the West” dream.
For the last several years, Russia has accumulated wealth. This wealth is based on oil and natural gas. This is basically the only real economic machine keeping Russia afloat. That’s right: oil and natural gas. Russia’s livelihood depends on the flow of oil.
Georgia, prior to Russia’s invasion, is and remains hostile to Russia. Furthermore, Georgia is an ally of the US and wants to be admitted to NATO, which Russia fears and hates.
When George W. Bush issued an executive order lifting a ban on off-shore drilling, when Americans practiced consumer sovereignty and stopped consuming as much gas, and when 70% of Americans started calling for off-shore drilling, guess what happened to gas prices? That’s right. Prices dropped.
Russia cannot afford for oil prices to drop because oil and natural gas are the lifeblood of Russia’s economy. If oil prices drop, Putin’s economy will collapse, the Russian people will suffer greatly, and the Russian people will recall the food lines, the shortage of consumer goods that brought the collapse of the Soviet Union in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Putin does not want to face an angry Russian populace.
Hence, an invasion of little Georgia was orchestrated to take place while the world would be quietly watching the Olympics. However, indicators of Putin’s designs on restoring the Russian Empire have been subtly appearing over the last several years. The US is being held hostage by Putin and his oil thirst. The US really does not want to go to war with Russia. Putin knows this, and Putin is keeping his Russian forces in Georgia in violation of the recently signed cease-fire because he is attempting to drive up the oil prices.
Driving up oil prices is his bargaining chip. If Bush would abandon Georgia, then Putin might consider pulling out of Georgia and lowering gas prices a little.
Putin is playing blackmail with the US using oil and Georgia as the bait. The liberals will claim this is the reason we need alternatives instead of oil. No, what we need is a comprehensive energy plan. We will always need some oil: paint, plastics, acrylics, make-up, nylon, polyester, manufacturing, oil for lubricating machinery, and the list goes on and on. Windmills will not lubricate machinery. Windmills and solar will not make paint nor lubricate the motors and engines in our cars, trucks, airplanes, buses, trains, etc.
Until we can develop a comprehensive energy policy, we need to drill now.
Russia’s blackmail is even more of a reason we need to drill now. Waiting is merely capitulating to the blackmailers. The one person who can end this blackmail is the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, but apparently this multi-millionaire socialite is more concerned with marketing her failed book than ending the energy crisis.

You Be The Judge
The Saddleback Civil Forum was an enlightening if not revealing discussion of political issues by the Rev. Rick Warren with Senators Barack Obama and John McCain. The format for this discussion was interesting and a vast improvement over the highly biased main street media’s old debate format. Interviewing each candidate separately was a refreshing approach and allowed for greater in depth responses.
Surprisingly, John McCain came out on fire, energized, and using self-deprecating humor at times. His answers were straightforward just like his Straight Talk Express. He was certain of his responses as there was no hemming, hawing, stammering, and pausing. McCain felt comfortable in his skin, and it was obvious this format was suited to his personality. One could not help but understand that in his administration, John McCain would be in charge.
Senator Obama, on the other hand, gave vague answers lacking in specificity. It was clear that this particular format was not suitable for Obama’s style, which is one where he reads responses from a teleprompter.
Obviously, there were differences in their political philosophy, but none stood out as much as their differences on abortion. John McCain declared himself a pro-life supporter, which is validated by his voting record when serving in the House of Representatives and in the U.S. Senate. McCain also responded to the question of when does life begin with “at the moment of conception”.
Barack Obama stated he is pro-choice and not pro-abortion. Here’s where you get to be the judge.
In Congressional hearings in 2000-2001 and later before Barack Obama’s Illinois Senate Judiciary Committee, an Illinois nurse, Jill Stanek testified about how induced labor abortions were handled at the hospital where she worked in Illinois. Her testimony described how living and breathing babies were shelved, left to die, and disposed of as medical waste. Stanek said, "One night, a nursing co-worker was taking an aborted Down syndrome baby who was born alive to our Soiled Utility Room because his parents did not want to hold him, and she did not have the time to hold him. I couldn't bear the thought of this suffering child lying alone in a Soiled Utility Room, so I cradled and rocked him for the 45 minutes that he lived."
In other words, babies were killed outside the womb. This is powerful, moving yet disgusting stuff. Stanek watched for Obama’s reaction, which she described as "unfazed" by her testimony. Eventually, this practice was banned by Congress’ unanimous passage of the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act in March 2002 with die-hard, pro-choice advocates like Senator Barbara Boxer condemning such abortion practices as outside the scope of Roe v. Wade.
A year before, however, the Illinois legislature considered a bill almost identical to the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act that was in Congress. Voting against this legislation was the Illinois state senator Barack Obama even though the bill was supported by his Judiciary Committee. The only senator to speak against the bill before the Illinois Senate was Barack Obama. His argument was that extending life protection to preterm babies jeopardized abortion rights. He voted "present," tantamount to a "no" vote.
A year later, when Obama's Committee passed the “Induced Birth Liability Act”, requiring medical care for babies who survive induced labor abortions, Obama did not support the legislation. Again, Obama voted “present”. His argument for not supporting medical care for babies who survive induced labor abortions was that such legislation would “create one more burden on women, and I can't support that."
On another issue, Obama was asked by Rick Warren to describe what is evil. Obama said evil was the killing that continues to go on in Darfur. Who can disagree with that response? When asked by Rev. Warren, “What should a President do about the killings or genocide that has occurred in places such as Georgia?” Obama’s response was that “well, that’s a judgment call.”
Now, Senator Obama, which is it? Abortions are justified, killings in Darfur must be confronted, but killings in Georgia by the Russians are a judgment call? Perhaps, Senator, it may come as a surprise to you that life is a series of judgment calls. Isn’t abortion a judgment call?
Answers to the questions posed by Rev. Warren were clearly revealing about ones’ character and core values.

Two Americas
Remember John Edwards' campaign speeches about there being Two Americas? Turns out Edwards knew what he was talking about.
Yep, he personally knew there were two women, two families, two love nests, thus two Americas. Now he's learned it again. Edwards is no longer on Obama's short list for VP or a Cabinet post. He's been uninvited to the Obama Fest in Denver.
Meanwhile, another fellow Democrat who lived in more than Two Americas and was impeached for his perjury about his nefarious lifestyle in Multiple Americas gets to be a major player at the Obama Fest, and gets one night at center stage to be the focus of the Democrats' praise and glory.
Yes, John, there are Two Americas, aren't there?

Contempt for Americans
Nancy Pelosi's refusal to let the House of Representatives vote on drilling offshore is an act of contempt for the American people. Her actions border on being tyrannical and dictatorial.

STOP THE DRILLING NOW!
Have you been to the grocery store lately? How about a restaurant? Did these prices blow you away? What we now are experiencing is inflation, and inflation is a tax on everyone. Inflation is not discriminatory because it does not recognize socioeconomic classes. Every one is hit by inflation.
Well, you can thank the rising oil prices as well as the completely idiotic and useless ethanol subsidy plan that has reduced the amount of corn for food consumption for this inflation.
Corn is used to feed animals we consume in our food chain. Corn syrup is used in the manufacturing of our processed foods. Because farmers get a guaranteed subsidy for producing more corn, less wheat is grown which has generated a shortage of wheat for the food market. Do you realize how much wheat we consume in our staples?
Transportation costs for bringing the now more expensive food items to the grocery shelves and the restaurants has also contributed to rising food prices. The increased cost of transportation is not the result of inadequately inflated tires and lack of tune ups, but it is the result of a shortage of oil.
As China becomes more industrialized and increasing the number of vehicles on the road, the demand for oil has increased. With India following the same path as the Chinese, this adds an additional demand for oil.
China and India should industrialize and participate in the market for oil. Why should they not try to move from Lesser Developed economies to emerging economies?
What is more troubling is the lack of Democratic leadership in standing up for the United States continuing as a developed economy. Instead, their position is that to drill will require 10 years to produce significant oil to make an impact on the supply of oil. What are we waiting for? Why wait 10 years?
Quite frankly, drilling now will alleviate the pain at the pump. Reducing the pain at the pump will alleviate the pain at the grocery store. According to a national political pundit, perhaps the questions to ask the Democrats is this one: “If drilling is bad, why drill at all? Shouldn’t Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi call up the Saudis, the Chinese, the Russians, the Cubans, Chavez in Venezuela, Ahmadinejad in Iran, and the new free government in Iraq: STOP DRILLING!”
If something is not done soon to alleviate this pain, we will begin to see a recession kick in because businesses cannot continue to hire people while their costs of buying products to sell is rising due to increasing transportation costs.
The Democrats say that in 10 years renewable energy sources will get us off our oil addiction. In the meantime, are we suppose to sit by and watch the food prices rise, the price of oil for heating our homes this winter go through the stratosphere? Do we attach a windmill to our cars and hope the wind is blowing that day so we can make it to work?
Come on, Americans. Wake up to the reality that the Democrats in Congress are not trying to solve our energy crisis. They are desperate to stay in power because they believe they are rightfully entitled to be in power. Meanwhile, they don’t give a rip about the inflation that is eating away at our livelihood.

Obama and Paris Hilton
Well, it seems that the McCain campaign ad WAS NOT the first to compare Obama with Paris Hilton!
Mark Leibovich, a Washington Post Staff writer, interviewed Obama on Thursday, February 24, 2005 and quoted the following:
"Andy Warhol said we all get our 15 minutes of fame," says Barack Obama. "I've already had an hour and a half. I mean, I'm so overexposed, I'm making Paris Hilton look like a recluse."
Remember when Obama said he didn't want people to criticize him for his ears? Well guess what he had to say about his ears in the interview with Mark Leibovich.
"I am genuinely somebody who doesn't get caught up in the hype," he says, adding that his wife, Michelle, loves to tease him about his big ears, and that he loves her for that.

The Audacity of Infinite Colossal Greed and Arrogance
Inflating tires and getting tune ups will not stop the American dependency on foreign oil. Neither will a vacationing Democratic controlled Congress who refuses to hear the cries of the American people they are supposed to represent.
How will high gas prices impact Michigan and Ohio? With rising prices eating away at the consumer's budget, fewer people will purchase automobiles. With fewer automobiles being sold, this will have a ripple effect on other markets: steel, aluminum, glass, and paint to name a few. If Michigan and Ohio think they've experienced unemployment, they haven't seen anything yet!
Higher gas prices will impact on the American travel and tourism industry as well.
Perhaps the most dramatic ripple effect is the one on food prices as transportation costs for truckers is astronomical.
Families are being forced to deal with inflation simply because the audacity of infinite colossal greed and arrogance has been demonstrated by the Democrats in the US Congress.

American Exceptionalism
In 1832, the French political observer published his seminal work, Democracy in America. Alexis de Tocqueville had been amazed at the success of such a young republic while Europe long governed by heavily centralized monarchies was struggling with social issues within the various nations. After an extensive tour throughout the United States, Tocqueville drew these conclusions.
America was an exceptional nation, and her exceptionalism was rooted in the decentralized structure of the American government with local governments having the power to resolve social issues at the local level. The second feature that drew Tocqueville’s attention was the active citizen participation as individuals and in groups, associations, and civil society. According to Tocqueville, while Europeans sat around and waited hopelessly for their governments to come to their rescue, the Americans were actively organizing and resolving their social problems without waiting on government. Whether these groups were faith based organizations, interest groups, or patriotic societies, they rolled up their sleeves and worked to solve the problems.
American exceptionalism mattered then, and it matters now. Our nation has always demonstrated the initiative, the gumption, the ingenuity, and the industrious energy to solve problems. This is America’s strength.
Our nation faces an energy crisis of tremendous magnitude. If we sit around and wait for government to solve this crisis, the crisis will only worsen. Our government has become more and more centralized, highly bureaucratized, and increasingly impersonal and impassive towards resolving our nation’s problems.
The American people can solve the energy crisis. We must demonstrate the will and resolve to use our uniqueness to rise to the occasion. We are a nation of diverse cultures and backgrounds, but that is our strength and not a detriment. We have been blessed with unbelievable resources and skills. It is time we acknowledge these gifts and use them to accomplish what previous generations have done: resolving social, economic, and political problems.
As a people we learned long ago that government is not the solution. Our active citizenry is what makes our nation great.
What are we waiting for?

The Simple Truth
Did you know that 18.6 cents of every gallon of gasoline that you purchase goes to the Congressional highway fund?
Do you know how Congress spends this money? Don’t assume it goes for highways. What your Congress uses the highway fund money collected from the sale of gasoline is for Congressional earmarks. For those unfamiliar with earmarks that is the most recent buzzword for pork barrel legislation projects. If you are not familiar with pork barrel, it is the “walking about” money or “I’ll pat you on your back if you’ll support me in my re-election” money. In simple terms, it is a Congressional slush fund.
Assume the average car owner in the US buys 10 gallons of gasoline a week. Then that person is contributing $1.86 to the Congressional highway fund a week. In one year that contribution would amount to $96.72. Some might say, so what?
Assume there are approximately 200,000,000 vehicles in the US being filled with at least 10 gallons of gasoline every week. The total of this contribution to the Congressional slush fund would be $19,344,000,000 (BILLION) in a year. Now that’s a lot of money! (These numbers are low-balled because the average truck drivers spend $3,000-$4,000 per week on gasoline.)
In the last four weeks, American consumers have demonstrated economics in its simplicity. If you noticed over this weekend, gas prices at the pump took a noticeable decrease. The cause of this decrease was not the result of any Congressional action. Instead, the decrease in price was the result of several factors, but mostly the result of American drivers curtailing their demand for gas. When the demand for a product decreases, it results in an increase in supply. When supply increases, the prices go down.
How did the members of the US Congress react to the decrease in demand for gas? Did they jump for joy and thank the American consumer for heeding their warning that gas consumption was leading to global warming? NO. Not a peep about global warming was heard. Instead, the Democratic members of Congress proposed a 10% increase in federal taxes on gasoline!!! Say it ain’t so!!! Why in the world would the Democrats in Congress want to raise taxes on gasoline and raise the price of gas at the pump????
The simple truth is this: a decrease in consumption of gasoline not only drove down the price at the pump, but it decreased the money in the Congressional slush fund!!! Panic hit the fan in Congress and the Democratic leadership, which controls all legislation in Congress, was beside itself. Democrats in Congress LOVE OIL, and the last thing they want to see is the price of oil decrease. Federal gasoline taxes provide them with their precious Congressional slush fund. With the slush fund, they can use the money to influence / persuade people to vote to keep the Democrats in power. What Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi demonstrated with the proposal of a federal gasoline tax increase was the audacity of infinite colossal greed and arrogance flaunted in the face of Americans struggling with increasing prices and the cost of living.

Quixotry Jabberwocky
Listening to Barack Obama's hemming, hawing, pausing, and stammering for words during his Middle East press conferences is painful at best. Can the presumptive Democratic Presidential candidate not speak without a teleprompter? Apparently not!
Once you get past that difficult hurdle of listening to his blather, the next obstacle is trying to dissect his Chestertonian quixotry jabberwocky and warbling which leaves you wondering if Obama even has a clue as to what is spewing forth from his mouth. He certainly does not understand foreign policy. Clearly anti-US military, anti-capitalist, and anti-establishmentarian, Obama's responses to questions are equivalent to a person speaking in tongues---confused on issues, lacking in facts, uncertain in tone, and at times sounding defiant of anyone challenging his positions.
Condemning the Bush surge in Iraq as a failure, Obama's next sentence called for a US surge in Afghanistan. Even NBC's Andrea Mitchell deemed the US surge in Iraq a success and having worked for quite some time. Sen. Obama, if the surge didn't work in Iraq, what makes you think it will work in the more treacherous Afghanistan theater of war? The British suffered a humiliating defeat there in the 1800s, and Russia suffered a brutal defeat there in the 1980s. Refusing to acknowledge the US military success in Iraq reflects Obama's arrogance and inability to admit mistakes.
The question for Americans is "Who do you want making Commander-in-Chief decisions---a neophyte or a seasoned veteran?"

Obama Flunks Econ 101
When a presidential candidate states he is going to correct the economy, we are in serious TROUBLE. The economy is how we use our scarce resources to satisfy our needs and wants. In every economy since the Fall of Man, there are two problems: unemployment and inflation.
If Obama was referring to an economic crisis or sluggish economy, then the issues lie within those two problems. We've heard his views on the inflationary rising gas prices at the pump, "I'm just disappointed it happened so fast." Wait a minute, did Obama just endorse high gas prices?
If that remark startles you, wait till you hear what he wants to do with labor laws and the labor department. He wants more BIG GOVERNMENT. Hey, the BIG GOVERNMENT we already have CANNOT FUNCTION properly. The last thing we need is more government. Read for yourself why Fortune magazine economic writers are starting to scratch their heads. Obama Flunks

Energy Independence Day: July 4, 2008
The Democratic Controlled DO-NOTHING Congress has taken a vacation while the rest of us worry and struggle to keep paying the rising prices of gas at the pump that the incompetent Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said under her leadership WOULD NOT RISE. Well, Nancy, you lied to us. Are you a big friend of Chavez and the Iranians who refuse to ship oil and continue to price gouge us? Are you, Nancy, afraid to drill because we might find oil and burst your power bubble?

"Why Is It We Hesitate?"
"There is a tide in the affairs of men,
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in the shallows and in miseries...
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures." William Shakespeare
In the months leading up to July 4, 1776, Abigail Adams chose these words from William Shakespeare to inspire her husband, John Adams while he was in attendance at the Continental Congress in Philadelphia. To John Adams, the only guarantee of liberty was independence. Choosing independence is a great step to be taken.
Our nation stands at a crucial moment in our history. We are heading towards an escalating economic crisis being imposed on us by three groups: OPEC, environmentalists, and a Democratic {Socialist} controlled Congress. We must choose to strike a cord for Energy Independence.
Gas prices at the pump will harm our entire economy by slowing, if not halting, numerous facets of our economy: tourism, transportation of goods and services, movement of people, and the list could go on ad nauseum. Rising fuel prices and the mandated biofuel program with subsidies for corn to be used in ethanol is already generating a rise in food prices. Rising prices is going to lead to UNEMPLOYMENT AND INFLATION which is STAGFLATION like we experienced under the hapless Jimmy, the Peanut Farmer, Carter.
The three groups or culprits can be dealt with in one swift fashion: VOTE THE DEMOCRATS OUT OF CONGRESS. Why? They are in bed with the environmentalists and have thus become subservient to the Environmentalist Interest Group. The Democrats in Congress have forgotten whom they serve: THE PEOPLE--NOT SPECIAL INTERESTS GROUPS. By voting the DO-NOTHING DEMOCRATS out, the Environmentalists will realize they have lost the support of the average American who is trying to make ends meet, trying to live the American Dream, trying to live in liberty.
OPEC will be dealt a huge reality check if the United States would FINALLY have the intestinal fortitude to DRILL for oil while also developing alternative energy sources including nuclear. Failure to take this stand will only continue our dependency and our enslavement to the Middle East for the only source of energy we have to run our industries and factories that provide jobs for Americans.
In the words of Thomas Paine, "Why is it we hesitate?...The sun never shined on a cause of greater worth..."

Barack and the Two-Step
Within 24 hours of his speech to AIPAC and the promise that Jerusalem will always remain the "undivided capital of Israel", Barack did a quick two-step when Hamas and Palestinians criticized his position.
From the Republican Jewish Coalition:
"Backtracks on "Undivided" Jerusalem-What Flip-Flop Is Next?
Washington, D.C. (June 6, 2008) -- Republican Jewish Coalition Executive Director Matthew Brooks criticized Barack Obama's backtrack on his position that Jerusalem remain the "undivided" capital of Israel and questioned what other positions Barack Obama would reverse regarding Israel.
On Wednesday, Barack Obama committed that "Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided" in his speech before the AIPAC policy conference. On Thursday, Barack Obama backtracked on this position and reversed it. Following criticism from Palestinian and Hamas officials, Barack Obama on Thursday announced in an interview with CNN's Candy Crowley that "obviously, it's going to be up to the parties to negotiate a range of these issues. And Jerusalem will be a part of these negotiations."
"Barack Obama's attempt to use buzzwords to impress pro-Israel leaders has already backfired. Barack Obama's reversal on Jerusalem, 24 hours after his AIPAC speech, demonstrates why the Jewish community has doubts and fears about an Obama presidency," stated Matt Brooks. "Barack Obama's retreat demonstrates that Senator Obama lacks the resolve and leadership necessary to protect America and Israel from the serious threats we face. Worst of all, the impression that Barack Obama changed this position because of pressure by Hamas officials sends all the wrong messages that a President Obama will back off pro-Israel positions when Hamas protests. Yet again, Barack Obama demonstrates why the Jewish community does not trust Barack Obama to keep America and Israel safe and secure."

Want To Make A Real Change?
Start by voting out the Democrats who control Congress. Why? Anyone remember when Nancy Pelosi was sworn in as Speaker of the House? Remember her statement, "Under a Democratic controlled Congress, gas prices WILL NOT GO UP!" Guess what, Nancy, the prices didn't just go up, they went BALLISTIC, THROUGH THE CEILING".
Looks like Nancy lied to us.
Congress refuses to let oil companies drill for oil. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if demand is greater than supply, prices go up. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if Congress will not let oil companies drill for oil, we are going to be in short supply. Thus, HIGHER PRICES.
Why is Congress led by DEMOCRATS PELOSI and REID being so stubborn? Because they are in bed with the ENVIRONMENTALISTS who as AL GORE wrote in his book in 1993, Earth in the Balance, "believe Americans should pay $5.00 a gallon." Hence, to be green you have to pay a higher price. If you want to be green, don't complain about gas prices.
If, however, you believe there is a responsible way to be green and care about the environment, go to American Solutions and sign the petition: Drill Here. Drill Now. Lower Gas Prices.

So Which Is It, Senator Obama?
For a man who campaigned in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 19, that he is not about the politics of tearing people down, Senator Barack Obama must have had an epiphany in one week’s time.
Only on Friday, April 12 in Marin County, CA at a select soiree with liberals from the San Francisco elite, Obama in what he thought was an exclusive not tell-all group, maligned the simple folk of Pennsylvania about their bitterness which caused them to cling to guns and religion.
So who is the real Barack Obama? Is he the one who attended elite Hawaiian prep schools and then was educated in the elite Ivy League schools?
Elitism is not simply about money. Elitism is not simply about family connections. Elitism is about looking down on people with the attitude that you are better because you are arrogant and condescending. Elitism is characterized in those with a professorial attitude that I am above you people down there.
Well, Senator Obama, Maureen Dowd got it right in her article, In Darkest Pennsylvania. “What turns off voters is the detached egghead quality they tend to equate with wimpiness, wordiness, and a lack of action.”
So which is it Obama: are people in Pennsylvania in the dark? Or have you stopped playing the politics of tearing people down?
Your true character is on the line.

It May Come As A Surprise
It may come as a major surprise to Senator Obama that unlike extremist Jihadists who turn to radical interpretations about Islam because they are angry about their own lives, many--if not most-- Pennsylvanians turn to religion because of FAITH.
In case Faith was not discussed in Rev. Wright's ranting sermons, Faith is a personal relationship and trust that G-d is present in our lives all the time. Do some of us turn to G-d when we're down or frustrated? Yes. Do some of us turn to G-d to praise Him when things are going well? Yes.
I can only speak for myself, Senator. I don't turn to G-d out of anger, bitterness. I turn to G-d out of love, trust, and faith.
Senator, I don't need your condescension and arrogance to judge or assess my faith.

Obama's Negative Attack on Pennsylvania
Pennsylvanians must be the judge on this comment by Barack Obama:
The Huffington Post originally quoted Obama as saying: “You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are going to regenerate and they have not.
“And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
Is Obama an elitist? Wonder what his true feelings are about other states? Will the main stream media discuss this slam against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and its citizens?
And, yes, Senator Obama, Pennsylvanians will judge this comment on April 22, 2008, and if you should get the Dem nomination, we will judge you again in November.

McCain and the VP
Either the media, the Dems,or both are focusing on who will be McCain's VP. Not sure of this strategy as the focus keeps McCain in the news with free TV time. Whatever the reason, the media is now running the story put out by Dan Senor (married to CNN's Campbell Brown)that Condi Rice is politicking for the VP spot.
Personally, Condi is an intelligent woman who would bring a much needed change for the Reps...a Black candidate and a woman. The problem, however, is she is too closely identified with the Bush Administration which for obvious reasons nets great negativity.
Not exactly sure who the other 19 possible candidates are, but there are others who bring different and less strident credentials to the McCain ticket. Youth, no close ties to Bush, appeals to a range of voters including Reagan Democrats and Independents would be some likeable features as well as someone who understands the difficult economic issues brought about by the predatory mortgage actions imposed on the financial system under the the Democratic controlled Congress as well as the minimum wage increase that has generated increased economic hardship on struggling small busineses. Also, the VP candidate must be thoroughly versed in the War on Terror which is this generations' version of the Cold War.
Pulling the troops out of Iraq will not bring an end to terrorism. To believe that is to place a bag over your head and fail to understand what is transpiring across the globe.
McCain's selection must be meticulous, thorough, and reasonable. There is no reason to make a selection until after the Democratic party's convention. Do you think for one minute the Dems would tip their hand? Not a prayer. Besides, this is politics: who gets what, when, where, how, and why.

Senator Obama, So What is Your Iraqi Time Table?
Apparently another military, foreign policy adviser for Obama is stating something differently from the Senator on the exit strategy from Iraq. Adviser Kahl states the US would have to keep at least 80,000-89,000 troops in Iraq until 2010.

State of the Economy
Hillary and Obama have both come out with possible solutions to the lagging economy. Both candidates advocate the following to jump start the economy:
1. Raise income taxes.
2. Eliminate and / or change the North Amercian Free Trade Agreement with Canada and Mexico (It should be pointed out that the No. 1 and No. 2 sources for the United States' oil supply are Canada and Mexico, respectively.)
3. Not sign the free trade agreement with Columbia, one of our strongest trading partners in Latin America.
4. Tax US companies that have any plants, facilities, outside the US (which would be a staggering number of companies, thus virtually raising taxes on all businesses).
5. Impose a tariff on foreign made products coming into the US (which would be virtually all products on the shelves in stores).
6. Possibly impose a price freeze.
7. Raise the capital gains tax on investors (which stimulates new businesses and creates jobs from 15% to possibly 35%)
Think back in history to 1929-1930: the economy was slumping faster than what we are presently experiencing. The President of the United States
1. imposed an income tax on the wealthy
2. signed into law the Smoot-Hawley Tariff
3. cut off free trade
4. imposed a price and wage freeze
That President was Herbert Hoover. What followed was the Great Depression.
Both Senators Clinton and Obama voted for the minimum wage increase that went into law in 2007. Anyone who has had Economics 101 should recall that increases in minimum wage is inflationary, leads to a shortage of jobs, and results in people being layed off or their hours of work reduced.
On the Tonight Show Thursday night, Senator Clinton told the story of a young boy who told her that his mother earned minimum wage, but her hours had been reduced. Senator Clinton said she was shocked to learn this. Maybe she didn't take economics in college, but if she is as economic savvy as she claims, or if she has any economic advisors at all, she should have known before she voted that raising prices/wages is cost-push inflation and that businesses either pass that cost on to the consumer or they will attempt to recoup that expense by reducing the number of employees.
It's not rocket science folks.

The Dems' Disconnect on Oil Prices
Hillary attacks Big Oil and claims Big Oil is using highway robbery in price gauging at the pump. Obama's latest ad in Pennsylvania laments over the price of gasoline while claiming he doesn't take money from the oil company. (His last statement is true, but then no candidate takes money from oil companies. ALL CORPORATIONS ARE PROHIBITED BY LAW FROM CONTRIBUTING TO CAMPAIGNS!!!) Obama does, however, receive money from oil executives and has received money to the tune of $214,000.
But the most important point is this: Democrats in the Congress block drilling for new oil supplies yet call for oil independence. Where is this oil supply suppose to come from? An oil cloud in the sky?
Second point: In his book, Earth in the Balance written in 1993, the sacred, annointed messiah of Global Warming--Albert Gore-- stated Americans SHOULD BE PAYING $5.00 a gallon for gasoline. Incidentally, Barack Obama said in Pennsylvania today that Albert Gore would play a significant role in his administration. Doing what, Obama---raising our gas prices?
So Dems, are you being truthful with the American people about your position on oil or have we run into an oil spill?

Hillary's Experience v. Obama's Ineptitude
The Obama camp is attempting to derail Hillary's bid for the White House by questioning her experience.
The truth is she does have White House experience. Whether we like it or not, she in some sense was a co-President with her husband. She was the policy wonk behind many of his proposals and initiatives. Hillary selected most of his cabinet members, and she chose most of his executive staff.
Most of Bill Clinton's ideas were run past Hillary before anyone else. She did not hesitate to voice her disagreement with his staff members.
Obama, on the other hand, given the opportunity to chair a subcommitte with tremendous influence over the war in Afghanistan has demonstrated remarkable ineptitude: THE SUBCOMMITTEE HAS NEVER MET. According to Lou Dobbs of CNN, Barack Obama has had 13 months to make a public issue over the war in Afghanistan as chairman of this Senate subcommittee, and he has failed miserably.

Texas Heating Up
Well, the gloves are off in Texas where the Demo stakes are sky high and rich like Texas oil.
Hillary is miffed because you can't attack the junior Senator from Illinois about his background, his name because he is sensitive about that, his position on terrorism.
Meanwhile, Michelle is itching for a cat fight. In remarks to a group of women in Ohio, Michelle tells the women to discourage their children from entering into the corporate law world (Hillary was a corporate attorney) and the Hedge Fund World (Chelsea is in the Hedge Fund business) because it costs too much to go to college and pay off college debts. Okay, Michelle, did you tell the women that you were a corporate lawyer who left that to take a position as in-house counsel for a hospital at the $200,000+ salary and when you're husband was elected to the US Senate your salary went up over night to $300,000? And you weren't proud of your country????
Is Michelle Obama attacking Hillary? Is Michelle Obama attacking the Feminist movement? She apparently wants women to stay in the home and subjugated to a minimum lifestyle.
While in Texas, the junior Senator from Illinois is stating that his foreign policy will STOP LOOKING AT THE WORLD IN POST 911 WAY.
Will Hillary respond to Michelle and the junior senator from Illinois? I'd bet my house on it!

Why is Obama Ashamed of His Name?
Juan Cole has written an outstanding article at Salon.com questioning the Junior Senator from Illinois' lack of pride in his name. Read it because it makes some very critical points of interest.

Obama on Afghanistan
Senator Obama Criticizes Bush White House on Afghanistan Policy:
HOWEVER, The Junior Senator From Illinois Has Held Zero Hearings As Chairman Of The Subcommittee On European Affairs. "Doubts about Barack Obama's presidential credentials have crystallized during the past two weeks over his stewardship of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee's Subcommittee on European Affairs, which has convened no policy hearings since he took over as its chairman last January." (Joe Conason, "Obama's European Problem," www.salon.com, 12/29/07)
Obama Could Have Held Hearings On The Role Of NATO In Afghanistan. "[A]mbassador John Ritch, who served for two decades as the Senate Foreign Relations Committee's senior staffer on European affairs and East-West relations ... [P]oints out that as subcommittee chair, Obama could have examined a wide variety of urgent matters, from the role of NATO in Afghanistan and Iraq to European energy policy and European responses to climate change..." (Joe Conason, "Obama's European Problem," www.salon.com, 12/29/07)
CNN's Lou Dobbs: "The reality is this man for 13 months has had a responsibility to hold oversight hearings on Afghanistan and the conduct of that war and has not done so." (CNN's "Lou Dobbs Tonight," 2/27/08)
Obama's Campaign Defended His Lack Of Oversight By Noting His Trip To Iraq, But Obama Skipped The Opportunity To Visit Afghanistan

Perhaps the RNC Needs to Remember These Words
In light of the restrictions the RNC and John McCain 2008 Campaign are placing on Republicans and supporters, perhaps they should be reminded of the words inscribed on the Liberty Bell and taken from the Book of Leviticus in chapter 25 verse 10:
"Proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants."
"Proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants."
Republican Censorship
Apparently the Republican National Committee along with the John McCain 2008 Campaign has put out the memo to Republicans that they are not to refer to the junior Senator from Illinois by his given middle name because he is sensitive to it.
Truthfully, this galls my constitutional principles like nothing I have experienced. The fact is my great great grandfather joined the Republican Party in 1861 in Winston County, Alabama. That's right, he was a Southern Union Loyalist who stood up against the Confederacy. He paid a price for that political stand, but his price was not as severe as others received at the hands of the Confederates and the Homeguard.
Admittedly, I was raised a Republican and worked to establish a two party system in the state of Alabama in the early 1960s. My efforts were not exactly overwhelmingly received by the Democrats that controlled the Alabama political system. I was called things I will not repeat, but I did not let that stop my mission. If the junior Senator from Illinois who is sensitive to his middle given name, cannot take the heat, well he has a problem.
For the GOP and the McCain 2008 Campaign to tell Republicans what they can call the junior Senator from Illinois who is sensitive to his middle given name, to tell Republicans what they can discuss in the 2008 campaign is an insidious act of censorship that reflects presumptive arrogance. I find such an attitude completely repugnant if not unconstitutional.

Are The Democrats Headed For A Convention Showdown
Prognosticators failed miserably this political season. Thus, we'll refrain from predictions.
The truth is nobody anticipated Barack Obama's phenomenal and meteroic rise to political rock star status. Certainly not the Clinton camp.
What obstacles to winning the nomination confront Obama?
First, if you believe Hillary strategists, there's Ohio, Texas, and Pennsylvania.
Second, the issue of Super Delegates could possibly be an issue. These are the party "insiders" many of whom are loyal to Hill and Bill while others owe the Hill-Bill duo for some previous political support.
Third is the issue of whether the DNC will buckle to Hillary's insistence that the Michigan and Florida delegates should be seated at the convention.
Playing the 'what if' game, could the Democrats face a battle royal if Hill decides to file a law suit againt the DNC over the delegate issue in especially Florida where 1.3 million Democrats voted in the primary? Ah, Florida...how many times have we been down the political conflict road in the state of Florida? 1876 and 2000 ring a bell? Bush v. Gore ring a bell?

Hope and Change
Hope and Change are the promises of Barack Hussein Obama. Sounds wonderful, does it not?
Or does it sound rather vaccuous and exhibitionist?
Truthfully, who in their right mind does not support hope and change?
At some point though, when you come to the intersection of Ideal and Reality, you have to make a decision.
Obama's major piece of legislation, Global Poverty, S2433, calls for the US to pay out $843 BILLION (every year)to end global poverty. Don't worry about issues at home, but focus on poverty in other places like, let's see...well he does not support ending tyrannical regimes that sponsor poverty. Obama's philosophy of hope (wishing) fails because the major concern of tyrants is self gratification at the expense of the people. Like Leonid Brezhnev when confronted with Jimmy Carter, Obama will learn that thugs and tyrants have NO REGARD for hopes for humanity. The thugs and tyrants' only hope is the reality of taking care of themselves and their ilk.
So where does he HOPE to bring a change if he is unwilling to confront dictators?
Questions both Obama and Hillary should be asked:
How will you deal with Kim Il Jung?
How will you deal with Vladimir Putin?
How will you deal with Chavez?
How will you deal with Ortega?
How will you deal with Ahmadinejad?
How will you deal with the thugs in Africa?
We're hoping for a change in Obama's and Hillary's vaccuous exhibitionism, but then hope and change never materialize without realism.

And It All Comes Crashing Down
Disunity. Dismay. Disharmony. Disruption.
The Republican Party? No, right now, this would aptly describe the Democratic Party as the factions within a factious party start to implode.
Hillary believes she is owed her party's nomination. Afterall, she left Yale to live in little old Arkansas. She married that philandering Southern boy, Billy Clinton with all his charismatic, charm that never met an attractive woman he didn't hit on. She endured his misbehavior and embarrassments time and time again. Repeatedly, Hillary bailed him out of one scandal after another. Now, it seems the party faithful are abandoning her faster than rats leaving a sinking ship.
Will the dirt start being overturned on those who are about to deny her the biggest alimony payment in US history?
Desperate women do desperate things in desperate times.
Stand by for further updates as they develop!

Traits of Democracy
"Democracy is perhaps the most difficult form of government to institute. It is also one of the most difficult to maintain. In fact, democracy sustainability is a constant process that requires vigilance and persistent nourishment. Democracy must be the cornerstone of open societies, and this is fostered through civic education." Rebecca K. Wetzel

Columbia: Gem of Lunacy
Leave it to the Ivy League to support terrorism. There is a classic song, Columbia: Gem of the Ocean. Well, now that Columbia University has aligned itself with a terrorist state, we can now refer to Columbia as the Gem of Lunacy.
Instead of opposing those who publicly advocate the obliteration of a democractic nation, provide IEDs that maim our troops, and support Al Qaida, Columbia has hopped in bed with the person who led the capture of the US Embassy in Teheran and held Americans captive for 444 days.
Lee C. Bollinger has some explaining to do about his devotion to terrorism and his lack of American patriotism. Bollinger and Ahmadinejad, are they new best friends?

L'Shana Tovah!
When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul. (Psalms 94: 18-19)
Continue to pray for the safe keeping of the Jewish people and for the peace of Jerusalem. L'Shana Tova!

Lilliputian Pipsqueaks
Without a doubt, affective leadership in the United States and the world, for that matter, is lacking.
The US Congress has an all time approval ranking that is truly abysmal at best. What is even more pathetic is the resounding bravado echoing from an absentee, vacationing Congress that has succeeded in passing little legislation. Yet they condemn the Iraqi legislature for taking off the month of August from Baghdad. Whatever happened to the phrase, "Judge not lest ye be judged"!
Jonathan Swift wrote an enchanting tale about the minute Lilliputians whose only recourse to accomplish anything was to tie people up and then berate their captives. Has literature become reality when it comes to the US Congress? Are the members, and especially the Congressional leadership, Lilliputian Pipsqueaks who can only squawk and complain as opposed to leading?
Perhaps even more disgusting is that many members of Congress have assumed the roles of arrogant elitists. Like the elitist European intellectuals who verbally and assiduously attack not just the United States but Americans as individuals and as a whole for being passionately patriotic, members of Congress look down on Americans from their Parnassian Perch and castigate their fellow citizens for exercising their Constitutional rights of freedom of expression.
The reality is that the elitist Europeans and many members of the US Congress are obstinate imbeciles lacking the intellectual capacity to think and reason. Their rhetoric is mere obfuscation and loquaciousness replete with nihilism.
One has to wonder how they can reconcile their elitist views with human rights, freedom, and equality of opportunity. Furthermore, the elitist reflexive inclination for passivity and rapproachement, their insistence on tolerance for the intolerant, and their capitulation for political correctness has dishonored all those who gave their lives to rid the world of the insane demagogues opposed to human rights, freedom, and equality of opportunity.
The Lilliputian Pipsqueak US Congress has become synonymous with ineptitude and epitomizes timidity.

Immigration Reform or Nightmare?
Admittedly I have not read the Senate's new Immigration Reform Bill, but the highlights that I have read leave one wondering how in the world did these Senators get elected?
First, the bill provides no realistic means of enforcing it's puny plan called a road to citizenship. Second, sorry Mr. Bush, but your description of the legislation as showing respect for these illegals made me cringe. WHERE WAS THEIR RESPECT FOR OUR LAWS, OUR NATION, OUR CITIZENS WHEN THEY ILLEGALLY ENTERED THE COUNTRY? Third, why are we only going to provide 370 miles along the border with fencing? The last time I checked the border with Mexico was a tad bit longer than 370 miles, or either my geography teachers were way off track!
This bill lacks specifics of HOW to implement and ENFORCE the legislation. It comes across as a band-aid approach to appease voters before the 2008 elections with nothing concrete being accomplished.
What does this mean in the long run? That 15-20 years down the road we'll be dealing with this same issue.

"Go in strength..."
When the L-rd sent His angel to Gideon, the L-rd told Gideon, “Go in strength…” (Judges 6:14).
When Gideon questioned the L-rd and suggested the L-rd choose someone else for the L-rd’s mission, the L-rd said, “I will be with you.” (Judges 6:16)
When Gideon built an altar to the L-rd, Gideon called it “The L-rd is Peace”.
When the L-rd knows we are struggling, He brings us a wonderful gift: the spirit of peace to calm the storm.
The L-rd brought this peace to Noah when he confronted the Flood. He brought this peace to Moses when he confronted the Pharaoh. He brought this peace to Esther when she confronted Haman. The L-rd brought this peace to David when he confronted Goliath. The L-rd also brought this same peace to Saul when he confronted the Gospels. The L-rd brought this peace to His Son when Christ was dying on the Cross.
With this spirit of peace, the L-rd gives us the strength to confront all our challenges in life.
As a nation, we, too, confront challenges. Some of us run from these challenges and fail to slay the giant. As a nation, the L-rd told his people to trust in Him as they confronted the giants.
Our Goliath today is the Terrorist. We need the strength of peace to accept our challenge to confront and slay the giants.

Well, well, Dems are at it, again!
One knew it wouldn't last long. The love fest in Congress seems to have taken a slap across the face, and it's a slap coming from of all places, the Main Stream Media.
Seems as if Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer have a past. Supposedly according to my Dem insiders within the Beltway, Nancy and Steny were interns together for a MD Senator many many years ago. The word is the two HATE, HATE each other.
No one seems to care why they hate each other, but it doesn't bode well for a unified leadership in the House. Nancy lost her first party battle on Thursday when her handpicked lapdog, go-boy, John Murtha, got a walloping in the election for the House Majority Leader. Did it have anything to do with his shaky lobby dealings that left him as an unindicted co-conspirator? Did it have anything to do with the fact that his election as Majority Leader might have shed the culture of corruption shadow over Nancy's new reign? Did it have anything to do with an investigation of his steering funds and business to his brother's lobbying business?
Then there's Nancy cold disdain for her congressional colleague from California. That issue will come out over the next few weeks depending on committee chairmanships. Time will tell whether Nancy will be debunked as some in the MSM are suggesting. Not to worry. Steny is now the Majority Leader, and if Nancy should strike out again, watch him lurk for the position of Speaker of the House. Apparently, Steny would love to see Nancy fail.
Folks, it's politics as usual inside the Beltway. The election doesn't seem to have changed anything. Oh, by the way, Nancy's first 100 hour plan seems to have been trashed, too!

Who Did The Duping?
Republicans are running around now blaming their election losses on Bush's removal of Rumsfeld after the election. Give me a break, GOP! You lost big time because you let power go to your head. True, that usually happens to a political party that has not been in power for so long. The truth, however, is that too many Republican elected officials lost sight of their conservative principles and became enamored with power.
Now, however, were the voters of Pennsylvania duped? On Monday, November 13 re-elected Governor Ed Rendell announced he is seeking a 13 cent tax on a gallon of gasoline as well as on motor oil products! Did he mention this before the election? Whether Fast-Eddie will admit it or not, he is openly asking for a tax increase. Who will this tax increase impact the most? Well, it will not be on the big oil companies. It is a tax on everyone but it's biggest impact will be on the lower socio-economic class as well as the middle class.
Hillary has announced that Hillary Health Care is back. She says the CEOs have endorsed it. Well, yeah, why wouldn't a CEO love to shift the healthcare burden to the government? Hillary might as well have announced she is going to raise your taxes.
Okay, you answer the question: Who did the duping?

Nickel Mines
On Monday, October 2, 2006 the world witnessed a heinous murder that sent shock waves reverberating globally. The devastating assassination of innocent young Amish girls in southeastern Lancaster County at the Nickel Mines Schoolhouse was a senseless, grotesque act of personal selfishness.
Yet from this tragedy comes a lesson for a lifetime. The Amish community used their own personal loss to give the English a lesson of Biblical proportions: Everlasting Faith and Eternal Grace.

Premptive Capitulation
Despite the Democrats in the US and their allies around the world opposed to Bush's Premptive Strike Policy, it seems they now see the value in premption. The Dem Libs now advocate Premption Capitulation which means don't offend terrorists, and they won't bother you.
Now that strategy is the same as saying to criminals, if you don't anger them or upset them, then criminals won't rob, steal, rape, or kill.
Couple that philosophy along with the Murtha Re-deployment of troops to Okinawa to stand ready in the Middle East is pure, unadulterated idiocy.
Premptive Capitulation and the Murtha Re-deployment strategy are the same as waving the white surrender flag.

Iraqi President: USA Presence PREVENTS Invasion
In a speech at the Woodrow Wilson Center, according to Agence France Press, yesterday Iraqi President Jalal Talabani said it plainly, "The American presence has always prevented any kind of foreign invasion to Iraq."
He added, "That's one of the main reasons why we think that we need an American presence even symbolical, in the country, to prevent our neighbors attacking us... I think that our neighbors must understand that our patience is limited... And we mean all of them!"
One more item from Talabani, "The immediate departure of coalition forces would only unleash the terrorists. I cannot promise when or how the American presence will completely end in Iraq but I can promise that American soldiers DO NOT FIGHT IN VAIN!" (emphasis mine)
A quick scan of this morning's New York Times shows no mention of the significant analysis by the Iraqi president.

Uncontrolled Rage
Welcome to an insight into the real Bill Clinton!
George Stephanopoulis has referenced his former boss’s anger as Purple Rage.
Once again the American people were subjected to that wagging finger routine as Bill Clinton lashed out in uncontrolled rage when interviewed by Chris Wallace.
His true temperament should now be apparent as well as his inability to take criticism along with his self glorified perspective on his job as the President.
He dared Wallace to check the Richard Clark book on the facts. Whether Chris Wallace did or not, Mahout cannot say. But Mahout did, and Bill Clinton is trying to lead the American people down a slippery slope with his lies during his Sunday interview. Richard Clark points out that Bill Clinton was completely distracted from dealing with the terrorism issue by his extramarital and sexual liaison with his intern Monica Lewinsky. Richard Clark also points out that the Bush 43rd administration did not demote him, but that he, Richard Clark, himself asked for and received the transfer into the internet intelligence division to focus on the use of the internet in terrorism.
The real truth is this: Bill Clinton cannot tell the truth about himself and his inept presidency.

Missed Opportunities Results in Failed Leadership
The Clinton Administration continues their pursuit of a legacy. Their legacy, however, is not what they want it to appear. While their pursuit is one of grandiose leadership, it actually is one of failed opportunities to thwart the growth of terrorism.
Powerlineblog.com notes a few highlights:
“* January 25, 1993: Mir Aimal Kansi, a Pakistani, fired an AK-47 into cars waiting at a stoplight in front of the Central Intelligence Agency headquarters in Virginia, killing two CIA employees.
* February 26, 1993: Islamic terrorists try to bring down the World Trade Center with car bombs. They failed to destroy the buildings, but killed 6 and injured over 1000 people.
* December 11, 1994: A bomb explodes on board Philippine Airlines Flight 434, killing a Japanese businessman. It develops that Ramzi Yousef planted the bomb to test it for the larger terrorist attack he is planning.
* June 25, 1996: The Khobar Towers bombing, carried out by Hezbollah with Iranian support. Nineteen U.S. servicemen were killed and 372 wounded.
* February 24, 1997: An armed man opens fire on tourists at an observation deck atop the Empire State Building in New York City, United States, killing a Danish national and wounding visitors from several countries. A handwritten note carried by the gunman claims this was a punishment attack against the "enemies of Palestine".
* August 7, 1998: Al Qaeda bombs U.S. embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya, killing 225 people and injuring more than 4,000.
* December 1998: Jordanian authorities foil a plot to bomb American and Israeli tourists in Jordan, and arrest 28 suspects as part of the 2000 millennium attack plots.
* December 14, 1998: Ahmed Ressam is arrested on the United States–Canada border in Port Angeles, Washington; he confessed to planning to bomb the Los Angeles International Airport as part of the 2000 millennium attack plots.
* January 2000: The last of the 2000 millennium attack plots fails, as the boat meant to bomb USS The Sullivans sinks.
* October 12, 2000: AL Qaeda bombs USS Cole with explosive-laden speedboat, killing 17 US sailors and wounding 40, off the port coast of Aden, Yemen.
Between 1993 and 2000, everyone who was paying any attention knew that the threat from Islamic terrorism was grave and getting worse. The catastrophic losses that occurred on September 11, 2001, could just as easily have happened in 1993, when the first plot to destroy the World Trade Center was carried off successfully, but the terrorists had miscalculated the effect of their explosives, or in 1995, when the plot to destroy eleven American airplanes in flight was thwarted by counter-intelligence work in the Philippines.
What did the Clinton administration do in response to this grave threat? Essentially, nothing. Worse, Clinton tried to sweep the problem under the rug, lest it disrupt the surface calm and prosperity for which he was eager to claim credit.”

Armitage's Sabotage
Former Deputy Secretary of State under Bush malcontent Colin Powell, Richard Armitage, was the source that "outed" Valerie Plame. Apparently it wasn't a vast right wing Oval Office conspiracy masterminded by Vice-President Dick Cheney, Scooter Libby, Karl Rove, and President Bush after all. Instead, it was a disenchanted, non-teamplayer, who got his marching orders from Colin Powell that "leaked" a non-covert CIA employee's name to the media.
Perhaps the Justice Department owes the American people a sincere apology as well as Scooter Libby for this inane inquiry into the leak since the Justice Department was told two years ago by Armitage that he was the source. It certainly raises the question as to what was Patrick Fitzgerald's motive since he knew from the moment he was given this assignment that Armitage was the source.
Better yet, perhaps the Justice Department should investigate Fitzgerald's handling of the inquiry and whether he had a political motive.
One now has to question how Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame can proceed with a civil suit against Cheney, Libby, and Rove for defamation of character since they did not leak nor harm Wilson or Plame. One also has to wonder if Cheney, Libby, and Rove have a valid reason to counter-sue Wilson and Plame for false accusations?

Eschatological, Historical, and Exegetical Analysis
Debatable hermeneutical assumptions aside, the book of Daniel in both the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament teaches that the rise to power of a world leader who works great blasphemy and abomination of desolation in the Temple of Jerusalem signals the beginning of the ends of time.
According to Daniel, the Great Tribulation will mark “the day of the L-rd.” It is interesting that only in Daniel 9: 24-27 is the word ‘messiah’ used in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament. Daniel’s prophecy predicts the coming of a ‘messiah’ who will judge the man of sin [ evil leader ] and his followers.
At the time of this ‘messiah’s’ coming, Israel will turn to the ‘messiah’ so that her sins and transgressions will be “brought to an end.” {Zechariah 12:10} This Judgment Day will culminate in the fulfillment of every prophecy in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament while at the same time consecrate the Temple in a New Jerusalem.
For the Faithful believers of G-d, the question may be arising as to who is this man of evil? Some argue that this is all bunk while others offer interesting analysis based on history and scripture. For some students of the ends of time, one group proposes that we are currently moving towards this prophecy. The vitriolic hatred spewing from the Islamic fascists mouthpieces led by Iran’s Ahmadinejad can only raise one’s interest in the ends of time discussion.
Going back to Daniel, the prophecy tells of one influential and very powerful leader emerging in the North. Hence, the “king out of the North” will seize the world stage and gather other nations to join him in his attack on Israel. Zechariah in chapter 14 declares that the city of Jerusalem will be seized by the King of the North’s forces. The L-rd will fight this battle at the Mount of Olives. According to Daniel 11:45 and Zechariah 14, the final beast, the false prophet, and all those who fought against Israel will come to their terrible end at the hand of G-d.
Was Daniel’s prophecy merely a pipe dream? No. Daniel’s prophecies coincide with historical events recorded by Josephus as well as coincide with other Hebrew Bible and Old Testament prophecies. Additionally, in the Christian theology, Christ referenced Daniel’s ‘abomination of desolation’ prediction in his Olivet Discourse while the writer of Revelation elaborated on the ends of time using similar words and sentiments expressed by Daniel and Isaiah.
Daniel’s message of over 2500 years has stood the test of time. His focus was on Middle East events of unrest, contention, and terrorism as well as on Jerusalem as the center of power and prophecy. More importantly, Daniel was the conduit of G-d’s plan for humanity and His people to whom He had promised redemption, eternal life, and that He would make good on that promise.
(To those Christians' who debunk and disregard the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, it leaves one to wonder how Christians can disregard the Hebrew Bible’s prophecies and laws since these are the basic tenets upon which Christ based his teachings.)

Just When We Thought
Just when we thought perhaps his silence might last, Jimmy Carter has decided to crawl out from some hole and express an opinion on Israel. Personally, his audacity to even begin to reprimand anybody about a failed Middle East policy is incredible.
Perhaps someone should refresh this retired peanut farmer's feeble memory that it was his inept Middle East policy of hiding in the White House that allowed the Iranians (led by their current leader Ahmandinejad )to go unpunished and undaunted after they attacked, captured and held hostage 52 American citizens for 444 days. Not only did Carter completely fail in this crisis, but his inaction emboldened the jihadists in their grand design to destroy freedom and liberty. The Iranians not only humiliated these hostages, but they destroyed our embassy and burned our flag.
Meanwhile, Carter hid in the White House presumably by a fire while wearing a sweater...his version of an energy policy. Leadership? Carter wouldn't know it if it smacked him across the face.
Thanks, Mr. Carter, but Israel and the US do not need any comments from the peanut gallery.

WWIII? WWIV?
History records that the US has been involved in nine world wars as a sovereign nation and as part of the British Empire. Two wars, however, seem to be ignored by historians and political scientists as world wars. The Cold War, contrary to popular opinion that it was a none shooting war, was a global ideological war fought on many fronts. And yes, there was shooting involved. Don't think so? Try asking the 58,000+ who gave their lives in Vietnam. The Cold War lasted from 1945 till 1990-92. The Cold War deserves the designation of WWIII.
The War on Terror is an ideological struggle between the forces of democracy and the forces of a controlling and vengeful, hating Islamo-Fascists ideology that has but one goal: destruction of freedom and liberty. The War on Terror deserves the designation of WWIV.

Lamont and Israel
After winning the Connecticut Democratic Primary for the Senate nomination, Ned Lamont responded to questions about the Israeli-Hezbollah War. He suggested that Israel should consider giving up more land to the Hezbollah demands.
This is the mentality of the defeatists, and this is the mentality of those who want to make our national security policy.
After today, is there any doubt who should be in the Senate and working with the Bush Administration to make national security decisions?

Let's Review, Once Again, The Perils of Extremists
If one wants to truly understand the War on Terror, study the Holy Crusades. The capture of hostages, the torture of hostages, even the beheadings of hostages make the connection to the Holy Crusades all too obvious. This in no way belittles or lessens the horrors of such atrocities, but these events should make it evidently clear to all people that it isn't just Americans who are the targets.
Every person is a potential target of these fundamentalist extremists. Their targets are in the millions and their goals can be reduced to a few: eliminate the infidels and exterminate the non-believers. Their ultimate goal is to purge the world of all but their version of Islam.1
Infidels is an English word for the Arabic kufr, which means an unbeliever. Islam was founded on the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad who issued the first jihad against Jews which he called infidels.
Al Qaeda is a radical, extremist Wahhabis fundamentalist Muslim group that has one goal: a world filled only with their followers. It doesn't matter if someone is American, Korean, Spanish, Indian, Lebanese, British, or even French. If you are a non-believer of the Wahhabis brand of Islam, you are an infidel.
Islamic fundamentalism has been growing rapidly since the 1970s. Perhaps the West's first clue of potential problems was the oil embargo in 1974. One only has to re-examine the fall of the Shah of Iran, the Ayottollah Khomeini's Revolution in Iran, and the capture of the 52 American hostages in 1979 to sense we were confronting a serious threat. Jimmy Carter's feeble pacification and willingness to placate this terrorist situation only worsened the American fate. The reaction of Carter to the crisis in the Middle East encouraged the growth of a hatred and disdain for the Western Great Satan. In the mid 1980s the fundamentalist had developed a strategy: manipulate the Palestinian situation and create a disturbance with Israel. Thus, the intifadah was born. Unbeknownst to the Palestinians, the leaders of the Islamic movement really did not give a hoot about the plight of the Palestinians. They did, however, relish using these poor souls plight to further their major goal: divide the Western world.
Emerging as the leader of this movement was a Saudi by the name of Usama bin Laden. By 1998, bin Laden had recruited operatives in a global network with a single mission: the planned destruction and indiscriminate slaughter against the infidels. In 1998 he declared a jihad in the name of the World Islamic Front. According to Middle Eastern expert Bernard Lewis, bin Laden made it clear in his jihad declaration that he was not focusing on a jihad in a moral sense, but "in the classical and traditional sense of a holy war against apostates and infidels---apostates, of course, are the existing rulers of most of the Islamic countries, seen as renegades from Islam and puppets of their infidel patrons and sponsors." Bin Laden's message is a frightening one.
If you, as President of the United States in 1998, had received this message, how would you have responded? Bin Laden told his followers "to kill Americans and their allies, both civil and military .By God's leave, we call on every Muslim who believes in god and hopes for reward to obey God's command to kill Americans and plunder their possessions wherever he finds them and whenever he can. Likewise we call on the Muslim ulema and leaders and youth and soldiers to launch attacks against the armies of the American devils and against those who are allied with them from among the helpers of Satan".
As the leader of the free world, as the Commander in Chief, and as the Chief Executive, would you have paid heed to this warning? When the Sudan offered you the opportunity to arrest bin Laden would you have jumped at it or ignored it? When bin Laden took responsibility for blowing up two American embassies in Africa, would you have responded by launching a Cruise Missile into an aspirin factory?
There is a consistent pattern which the politicos on the left are missing: "It was discernible in the Riyadh massacres of November 8, 2003, when the target was Lebanese Christians at Khobar, the terrorists spared one American because he was Muslim. The Al Qaeda operatives have happily killed Filippino, Swedish, British, Italian, South Africans, and Indians. Muslims who do not share the extremists' vision asophisticated."2 The sophisticated, well armed Hezbollah is as dangerous as Al Qaeda. It is Hezbollah which has struck Israel and the United States with impunity, and the hapless, pathetic farce of an international body known as the UN acquiesces while running in retreat from terrorist organizations.
"These killings are not about the Abu Ghraib prison scandal or American actions in Iraq and Afghanistan, though those are grievances. These are not about Israel, though that is another grievance. In fact, most of the Islamist terrorists victims worldwide are not Americans or even Westerners, but Asian and Middle Eastern Christians, Muslims, and Hindus. For the extremists, the justification for the slaughter is not current foreign policy but rather as an apocalyptic war to purge the world of all but their version of Islam."3
"Spaniards will not be spared because Spanish troops are gone from Iraq. Europe cannot make its way into the terrorists good graces by distancing itself from America, any more than the United States can mollify the Islamists by acting through the United Nations or wooing world opinion. These are fantasies."4
Think about it briefly. Does Al Qaeda's leadership really care about the lives of the young Muslims who are willing to die as martyrs for their cause? No. Life is dispensable, it is worthless. If life were valuable or meaningful to the Al Qaeda leadership, they wouldn't be so willing to have suicide bombers. The leadership of Al Qaeda is much like Hitler and the Nazi leaders and like the Japanese leaders of WWII. Everything is done for the glorification of their goal: global domination based on cruelty, torture, and dehumanizing behavior. If their cause is so noble, then why are the Al Qaeda leaders and operatives not leading the suicide missions themselves? No, it's all about domination and power.
The sad truth is that a whole group of people has become the pawns of the Islamic fundamentalist movement. The Palestinians are used as the whipping boy, the rallying cry, and the focal point to draw attention away from the real mission of the Wahhabis movement. Unfortunately, the imams, caliphs, and sheiks have become blinded by this fatalistic religious movement. Their schools, houses of worship, and books are filled with hatred for the Infidel, the non-believer. This radical hatred is accomplishing what the Wahhabis want: dissension among the non-believers as to what to do about the war on terror.
Al Qaeda's enemy is anyone who opposes its program for the restoration of a unified Muslim ummah, ruled by a new Caliphate, governed by reaction Islamic sharia law, and organized to wage jihad on the rest of the world. The lesson of Riyadh and Khobar is that we can resist this program, in which case, tragically, we may see more videos of beheadings. Or we can acquiesce to this program and see a great many more hostages captured, tortured, and beheaded. These are the choices. We are in a war we must win. Everything else is wishful thinking.5
Sometimes the grievances and issues involved in the conflict between Muslims and non-Muslims are ethnic, territorial, social, economic, but the real struggle is religion. Religion is the major, defining struggle in these areas: Bosnia, Kosovo, Chechnya, Kashmir, Sinkiang, Philippines, Palestine, Timor, West Africa, and Sudan.
Only the uninformed would argue that these conflicts are something other than manifestations of Western dominance over the Islamic world. This conflict has been growing since the end of the Holy Crusades and the Treaty of Carlowitz resulting in the defeat of the Ottoman Empire at the hands of the Christian world. Ever since the Holy Crusades the Muslim world views all problems as ultimately religious, and all the final answers are naturally religious. For the present leaders of the fundamentalist sect of Islam, the goal is elimination of Western powers and the extermination of infidels.
Bernard Lewis raises the pertinent question, which some people fail to see just as some, failed to see it with the rise of Hitler. "Will the cause of freedom triumph over terror as it did over the Nazis and Communism?"
Every person is a potential target of these fundamentalist extremists. Their targets are in the millions and their goals can be reduced to a few: eliminate the infidels and exterminate the non-believers. Their ultimate goal is to purge the world of all but their version of Islam.1

A View on the World
The world seems asleep and numb to the ill winds sweeping across the plains, valleys, mountains and coastal regions of the world. Not only is there the turmoil of war in the Middle East, but there is saber rattling from every corner of the earth.
N.Korea, Iran, and Pakistan are clamoring for nuclear weapons. They aren't asking for nuclear power to provide industrial growth. They want nuclear weapons.
Hugo Chavez has now joined the nuclear weapons club wanna bes, and he has successfully struck a weapons deal with Russia.
There are two nations who have great influence over these saber rattling nations. Those nations are Russia and China.
The U.S. has a card it can play, but apparently it is reluctant to play it. A moratorium on US businesses locating in Russia and China would send a realistic economic message to both Russia and China that the US is serious about putting the halt to N. Korea, Iran, Pakistan, and Venezuela plans to become nuclear powers.
Our failure will spell doom for the rest of the world.
Just as we must continue to support Israel in the fight of its life, we must up the ante for those nations wanting, seeking, and procuring nuclear weapons.
Let's be realistic about the world. Hezbollah is an extension of the Iranian army, and they have but one desire: the elimination of Israel.
We do not need a repeat of the world's mistake to heed the rise of Nazism. Do not think for one second that the Islamo-Fascists would openly welcome Christians or any non-Muslims as their friends and allies. They have one and only one goal.

Ignorance Personified
The radical liberals and their partners in ignorance personified--main stream media-- amount to what Spiro Agnew might have dubbed as the Nattering Nabobs of Negativism. Listening to these ignorant nabobs blast America and Israel for standing strong against terrorism is disgusting.
Now they argue that the deaths are disproportionately distributed. Since when is war suppose to make sure that both sides lose the same number of persons? If that's the rule, who would ever win a war? Maybe the ignorant nabobs failed their American history courses. In WWII, in the Pacific Theatre the US lost 92,000 while Japan lost about 1.9 MILLION. You draw the conclusions.
To discuss the complaints of some of those Americans being evacuated is to insult your intelligence. But maybe some who are busy working and being self reliant may not know that some of the evacuees are comparing their rescue to Katrina, the food is bad, the flies are pesky, there's no place to sleep, and it goes on to adnauseam. First, Lebanon has long been on the warning list of places the US considers a risk for its citizens to visit. Second, the US did not have prior warning that this crisis would develop. Third, since when is a rescue suppose to provide all the comforts of home?
When you look at what these nattering nabobs are whining and complaining about, you realize they are nothing more than ignorance personified.

Failed Organization
The United Nations has demonstrated repeatedly that it is a failed institution. The problem is not its pathetic culture of corruption leadership. The problem is not its arrogant Blue Helmets who are totally incompetent. The problem is not its lack of institutional controls over accounting, over workers, and over policy. The problem is not its inability to enforce whatever weak and lame resolutions that it might eventually get around to passing.
The problem is it is a confederate power structure. Anyone who has a seventh grade level of education should be able to tell you that confederate power structures are totally inept. For those who don't understand, in a confederacy all the power is located in the members who comprise the organization. The only authority a confederate power has is the power that the members give the confederate organization.
The UN cannot call up troops. The UN cannot tax, and a government that cannot tax is doomed to failure.
Most confederate structured organizations have not lasted long. Two examples from US history would be the Articles of Confederation (1776-1878) and the Confederate States of America (1861-1865). The only reason the UN has lasted since 1946 is because the US has always propped it up.
The UN cannot, will not, and never will be an organization that can deliver on its promises.

What Needs To Be Done
The world faces perhaps the most strident and perilous crisis in history. The world as we know it-and even as our fathers knew it-faces an enemy who no longer fears democracy. Liberalism that lacks a core value and operates on the weakened pretense of passive non-resistance has kowtowed to the Islamo-Fascist fundamentalists.
We fail to understand the simple point and message: The Islamo-Fascist Fundamentalists have vowed to destroy not only Israel but democracy and civilization as we know it.
And what have we done to stop it?
Jimmy Carter in 1979 hid in the White House. William Jefferson Clinton stayed in the Oval Office with an intern. The main stream media joined with the enemy and revealed as many of the methods of surveillance used by the Bush Administration to stop the terrorist from striking us.
A cease fire with the terrorists Hezbollah and Hamas will only prolong the Islamo Fscist movement.
Ignoring the demonic regime in Iran by allowing them to acquire nuclear weapons will be a devastating blow to our existence.
The Fabian Socialist media is willing to destroy this nation, and for what? A world gone mad that will make the Holy Crusades look like romper room.

How To Win The War on Terrorism
"It's not the will to win that matters...everyone has that. It's the will to PREPARE to win that matters." -- Paul William Bryant

Message for the New York Times
"Military action is important to the nation----it is the ground of death and life, the path of survival and destruction, so it is imperative to examine it." Master Sun Tzu
"The formation and procedure used by the military should not be divulged beforehand." Master Sun Tzu
"Making the armies able to take on opponents without being defeated is a matter of unorthodox and orthodox methods." Master Sun Tzu
"Espionage is essential for military operations, and the armies depend on this in their actions." Master Sun Tzu

Murtha and the Rush to Judgment
Pennsylvania Democrat Jack Murtha whose brother has pocketed millions of dollars from Jack Murtha's position as the Ranking Member on the House Defense committee is anti-military.
Murtha has already arrested, indicted, tried, and convicted members of the Marines as murderers.
His statements have violated their constitutional rights to a fair trial because he has convinced the main stream liberal radical media that the Marines are guilty.
Shame on Murtha. Shame on his constituents for allowing such a person to represent them in Congress. Wonder how Murtha would react to our rush to judgment that he has used his position as the ranking chair to benefit financially from defense contracts?
Probably Jack Murtha would be outraged. Wonder how the Marines must feel?

Where's the Outrage?
The horrendous murder of U.S. forces in Iraq is hauntingly a reminder of Somalia. Almost as horrendous is the lack of an outrage by members of Congress and mostly that of President Bush.
Mr. Bush, you have lost support because you fail to react with emotion and when you do react it appears canned and controlled.
Leaders don't take action based on polls, and leaders show emotion when soldiers are murdered by coward terrorists.

FDR's, Truman's, JFK's, and LBJ's War Strategy
Do you think FDR, Harry Truman, JFK, and LBJ would have agreed with the present Democratic leaders' war strategy of SURRENDER, TURN TAIL, CUT and RUN?
WMDs
The U.S. forces have uncovered WMDs in Iraq. The U.S. Intelligence Community had this information classified as Top Secret so their incompetence in not finding these stashes earlier would not be revealed.
Our Founding Fathers did not create a government by bureaucracy. Unfortunately, over the years our government had become hijacked by career bureaucrats who impose their own public agendas on the American people.
We need to clean out these demogogues in our bureaucracy and return the government to the people as required by the Constitution.

Totally Discombobulated
The left wing radical liberal party known as the Democratic Party is so far removed from its foundation of Jeffersonian-Jacksonian Democracy it is not even funny. In fact, most Democrats today probably do not have a clue as to what is Jeffersonian-Jacksonian Democracy.
So, in order to enlighten the illiterate such as Madeleine Albright, Al Gore, John Kerry, Howard Dean, Jack Murtha, Nanci Pelosi, and the Moveon.org clueless, Jeffersonian-Jacksonian Democrats stood for a strong America that did not surrender, cut and run from national obligations. Another characteristic of Jeffersonian-Jacksonian Democracy was its strong commitment to the rule of law and not distorting the law.
Jefferson and Jackson would be appalled at the impotent and pathetic statements by "leaders" such as Albright ("leader of North Korea is not stupid, and he's provoked by the U.S. War in Iraq") and Murtha("We should withdraw our troops from Iraq and deploy them to Okinawa"). When a reasonable person examines those pathetic remarks and then realizes they are leaders of their party, one has to wonder if the Democratic Party is totally discombobulated or just asleep at the wheel.
Perhaps the most telling sign that the Democrats fail the Jeffersonian-Jacksonian test is the party's efforts to defeat and unseat Sen. Joe Lieberman. Even Big Boy Al Gore will not lend support or endorse his former VP running mate. Talk about egos gone to the dogs!
The Democratic Party is on the verge of complete disintegration because they are nothing more than an aggregation of segmented interest groups obsessed with the desire for power not policies that secure and develop our nation. They could care less about a public policy agenda as long as they are in power. They lack unity, and thus, they lack a cohesive strategy of how to lead the United States. Most tragically, they do not understand why they have lost control and cannot win elections. It really does not take a rocket scientist to figure it out, does it?

International Cooperation
International efforts led to the successful elimination of the brute killer Abu Musab Al Zarqawi hiding in an opulent safe house north of Baghdad. The world is better off with this monster resting somewhere other than on this earth.
To the liberal pundits who scoff at this accomplishment and want to bring the troops home today, you just don't get it. You probably never will. Terrorists have you pegged. They know you are cowardly and afraid of your own shadow.
That's why some of us are thankful you aren't in charge of our nation's defense because you would have surrendered on 9/11.

Uno de Mayo: Go Ahead and Butt! Just Come on Over!
Now that Uno de Mayo has come and gone, what did we learn? Truly, not a whole lot. The nation's economy did not tank. The market continued to operate despite the absence of low skilled workers. Some employers have sold their souls to illegal immigrant workers in order to earn more profit. So, what else?
Perhaps the immigrants who want amnesty fail to understant what has many Americans upset. It's really simple. Yes, we are a nation of immigrants, but the vast majority of those who came in as immigrants came the LEGAL way.
What most of the illegals are failing to grasp is the concept of the rule of law. Very simply that means the law applies to all. It means you apply to come into the United States and wait your turn. You don't butt! You play by the rules. If you are not willing to play by the rules to become a citizen, chances are you will not play by the rules if you are granted citizenship willy-nilly.
People tend to value things that they work hard to earn and achieve. People tend to take lightly and neglect those things that they are given without any effort on their own part.
People who are given everything with no cost to themselves tend to expect a free hand-out all the time. If we think we have a welfare state now, just wait till Congress grants all these illegals amnesty. Better yet, why not just open the borders and let everyone who wants to enter, come on in. As Bob Barker says on the Price is Right, "Come on down!"
