The Obama camp is attempting to derail Hillary's bid for the White House by questioning her experience.
The truth is she does have White House experience. Whether we like it or not, she in some sense was a co-President with her husband. She was the policy wonk behind many of his proposals and initiatives. Hillary selected most of his cabinet members, and she chose most of his executive staff.
Most of Bill Clinton's ideas were run past Hillary before anyone else. She did not hesitate to voice her disagreement with his staff members.
Obama, on the other hand, given the opportunity to chair a subcommitte with tremendous influence over the war in Afghanistan has demonstrated remarkable ineptitude: THE SUBCOMMITTEE HAS NEVER MET. According to Lou Dobbs of CNN, Barack Obama has had 13 months to make a public issue over the war in Afghanistan as chairman of this Senate subcommittee, and he has failed miserably.

Texas Heating Up
Well, the gloves are off in Texas where the Demo stakes are sky high and rich like Texas oil.
Hillary is miffed because you can't attack the junior Senator from Illinois about his background, his name because he is sensitive about that, his position on terrorism.
Meanwhile, Michelle is itching for a cat fight. In remarks to a group of women in Ohio, Michelle tells the women to discourage their children from entering into the corporate law world (Hillary was a corporate attorney) and the Hedge Fund World (Chelsea is in the Hedge Fund business) because it costs too much to go to college and pay off college debts. Okay, Michelle, did you tell the women that you were a corporate lawyer who left that to take a position as in-house counsel for a hospital at the $200,000+ salary and when you're husband was elected to the US Senate your salary went up over night to $300,000? And you weren't proud of your country????
Is Michelle Obama attacking Hillary? Is Michelle Obama attacking the Feminist movement? She apparently wants women to stay in the home and subjugated to a minimum lifestyle.
While in Texas, the junior Senator from Illinois is stating that his foreign policy will STOP LOOKING AT THE WORLD IN POST 911 WAY.
Will Hillary respond to Michelle and the junior senator from Illinois? I'd bet my house on it!

Why is Obama Ashamed of His Name?
Juan Cole has written an outstanding article at Salon.com questioning the Junior Senator from Illinois' lack of pride in his name. Read it because it makes some very critical points of interest.

Obama on Afghanistan
Senator Obama Criticizes Bush White House on Afghanistan Policy:
HOWEVER, The Junior Senator From Illinois Has Held Zero Hearings As Chairman Of The Subcommittee On European Affairs. "Doubts about Barack Obama's presidential credentials have crystallized during the past two weeks over his stewardship of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee's Subcommittee on European Affairs, which has convened no policy hearings since he took over as its chairman last January." (Joe Conason, "Obama's European Problem," www.salon.com, 12/29/07)
Obama Could Have Held Hearings On The Role Of NATO In Afghanistan. "[A]mbassador John Ritch, who served for two decades as the Senate Foreign Relations Committee's senior staffer on European affairs and East-West relations ... [P]oints out that as subcommittee chair, Obama could have examined a wide variety of urgent matters, from the role of NATO in Afghanistan and Iraq to European energy policy and European responses to climate change..." (Joe Conason, "Obama's European Problem," www.salon.com, 12/29/07)
CNN's Lou Dobbs: "The reality is this man for 13 months has had a responsibility to hold oversight hearings on Afghanistan and the conduct of that war and has not done so." (CNN's "Lou Dobbs Tonight," 2/27/08)
Obama's Campaign Defended His Lack Of Oversight By Noting His Trip To Iraq, But Obama Skipped The Opportunity To Visit Afghanistan

Perhaps the RNC Needs to Remember These Words
In light of the restrictions the RNC and John McCain 2008 Campaign are placing on Republicans and supporters, perhaps they should be reminded of the words inscribed on the Liberty Bell and taken from the Book of Leviticus in chapter 25 verse 10:
"Proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants."
"Proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants."
Republican Censorship
Apparently the Republican National Committee along with the John McCain 2008 Campaign has put out the memo to Republicans that they are not to refer to the junior Senator from Illinois by his given middle name because he is sensitive to it.
Truthfully, this galls my constitutional principles like nothing I have experienced. The fact is my great great grandfather joined the Republican Party in 1861 in Winston County, Alabama. That's right, he was a Southern Union Loyalist who stood up against the Confederacy. He paid a price for that political stand, but his price was not as severe as others received at the hands of the Confederates and the Homeguard.
Admittedly, I was raised a Republican and worked to establish a two party system in the state of Alabama in the early 1960s. My efforts were not exactly overwhelmingly received by the Democrats that controlled the Alabama political system. I was called things I will not repeat, but I did not let that stop my mission. If the junior Senator from Illinois who is sensitive to his middle given name, cannot take the heat, well he has a problem.
For the GOP and the McCain 2008 Campaign to tell Republicans what they can call the junior Senator from Illinois who is sensitive to his middle given name, to tell Republicans what they can discuss in the 2008 campaign is an insidious act of censorship that reflects presumptive arrogance. I find such an attitude completely repugnant if not unconstitutional.

Are The Democrats Headed For A Convention Showdown
Prognosticators failed miserably this political season. Thus, we'll refrain from predictions.
The truth is nobody anticipated Barack Obama's phenomenal and meteroic rise to political rock star status. Certainly not the Clinton camp.
What obstacles to winning the nomination confront Obama?
First, if you believe Hillary strategists, there's Ohio, Texas, and Pennsylvania.
Second, the issue of Super Delegates could possibly be an issue. These are the party "insiders" many of whom are loyal to Hill and Bill while others owe the Hill-Bill duo for some previous political support.
Third is the issue of whether the DNC will buckle to Hillary's insistence that the Michigan and Florida delegates should be seated at the convention.
Playing the 'what if' game, could the Democrats face a battle royal if Hill decides to file a law suit againt the DNC over the delegate issue in especially Florida where 1.3 million Democrats voted in the primary? Ah, Florida...how many times have we been down the political conflict road in the state of Florida? 1876 and 2000 ring a bell? Bush v. Gore ring a bell?

Hope and Change
Hope and Change are the promises of Barack Hussein Obama. Sounds wonderful, does it not?
Or does it sound rather vaccuous and exhibitionist?
Truthfully, who in their right mind does not support hope and change?
At some point though, when you come to the intersection of Ideal and Reality, you have to make a decision.
Obama's major piece of legislation, Global Poverty, S2433, calls for the US to pay out $843 BILLION (every year)to end global poverty. Don't worry about issues at home, but focus on poverty in other places like, let's see...well he does not support ending tyrannical regimes that sponsor poverty. Obama's philosophy of hope (wishing) fails because the major concern of tyrants is self gratification at the expense of the people. Like Leonid Brezhnev when confronted with Jimmy Carter, Obama will learn that thugs and tyrants have NO REGARD for hopes for humanity. The thugs and tyrants' only hope is the reality of taking care of themselves and their ilk.
So where does he HOPE to bring a change if he is unwilling to confront dictators?
Questions both Obama and Hillary should be asked:
How will you deal with Kim Il Jung?
How will you deal with Vladimir Putin?
How will you deal with Chavez?
How will you deal with Ortega?
How will you deal with Ahmadinejad?
How will you deal with the thugs in Africa?
We're hoping for a change in Obama's and Hillary's vaccuous exhibitionism, but then hope and change never materialize without realism.

And It All Comes Crashing Down
Disunity. Dismay. Disharmony. Disruption.
The Republican Party? No, right now, this would aptly describe the Democratic Party as the factions within a factious party start to implode.
Hillary believes she is owed her party's nomination. Afterall, she left Yale to live in little old Arkansas. She married that philandering Southern boy, Billy Clinton with all his charismatic, charm that never met an attractive woman he didn't hit on. She endured his misbehavior and embarrassments time and time again. Repeatedly, Hillary bailed him out of one scandal after another. Now, it seems the party faithful are abandoning her faster than rats leaving a sinking ship.
Will the dirt start being overturned on those who are about to deny her the biggest alimony payment in US history?
Desperate women do desperate things in desperate times.
Stand by for further updates as they develop!

Traits of Democracy
"Democracy is perhaps the most difficult form of government to institute. It is also one of the most difficult to maintain. In fact, democracy sustainability is a constant process that requires vigilance and persistent nourishment. Democracy must be the cornerstone of open societies, and this is fostered through civic education." Rebecca K. Wetzel

Columbia: Gem of Lunacy
Leave it to the Ivy League to support terrorism. There is a classic song, Columbia: Gem of the Ocean. Well, now that Columbia University has aligned itself with a terrorist state, we can now refer to Columbia as the Gem of Lunacy.
Instead of opposing those who publicly advocate the obliteration of a democractic nation, provide IEDs that maim our troops, and support Al Qaida, Columbia has hopped in bed with the person who led the capture of the US Embassy in Teheran and held Americans captive for 444 days.
Lee C. Bollinger has some explaining to do about his devotion to terrorism and his lack of American patriotism. Bollinger and Ahmadinejad, are they new best friends?

L'Shana Tovah!
When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul. (Psalms 94: 18-19)
Continue to pray for the safe keeping of the Jewish people and for the peace of Jerusalem. L'Shana Tova!

Lilliputian Pipsqueaks
Without a doubt, affective leadership in the United States and the world, for that matter, is lacking.
The US Congress has an all time approval ranking that is truly abysmal at best. What is even more pathetic is the resounding bravado echoing from an absentee, vacationing Congress that has succeeded in passing little legislation. Yet they condemn the Iraqi legislature for taking off the month of August from Baghdad. Whatever happened to the phrase, "Judge not lest ye be judged"!
Jonathan Swift wrote an enchanting tale about the minute Lilliputians whose only recourse to accomplish anything was to tie people up and then berate their captives. Has literature become reality when it comes to the US Congress? Are the members, and especially the Congressional leadership, Lilliputian Pipsqueaks who can only squawk and complain as opposed to leading?
Perhaps even more disgusting is that many members of Congress have assumed the roles of arrogant elitists. Like the elitist European intellectuals who verbally and assiduously attack not just the United States but Americans as individuals and as a whole for being passionately patriotic, members of Congress look down on Americans from their Parnassian Perch and castigate their fellow citizens for exercising their Constitutional rights of freedom of expression.
The reality is that the elitist Europeans and many members of the US Congress are obstinate imbeciles lacking the intellectual capacity to think and reason. Their rhetoric is mere obfuscation and loquaciousness replete with nihilism.
One has to wonder how they can reconcile their elitist views with human rights, freedom, and equality of opportunity. Furthermore, the elitist reflexive inclination for passivity and rapproachement, their insistence on tolerance for the intolerant, and their capitulation for political correctness has dishonored all those who gave their lives to rid the world of the insane demagogues opposed to human rights, freedom, and equality of opportunity.
The Lilliputian Pipsqueak US Congress has become synonymous with ineptitude and epitomizes timidity.

Immigration Reform or Nightmare?
Admittedly I have not read the Senate's new Immigration Reform Bill, but the highlights that I have read leave one wondering how in the world did these Senators get elected?
First, the bill provides no realistic means of enforcing it's puny plan called a road to citizenship. Second, sorry Mr. Bush, but your description of the legislation as showing respect for these illegals made me cringe. WHERE WAS THEIR RESPECT FOR OUR LAWS, OUR NATION, OUR CITIZENS WHEN THEY ILLEGALLY ENTERED THE COUNTRY? Third, why are we only going to provide 370 miles along the border with fencing? The last time I checked the border with Mexico was a tad bit longer than 370 miles, or either my geography teachers were way off track!
This bill lacks specifics of HOW to implement and ENFORCE the legislation. It comes across as a band-aid approach to appease voters before the 2008 elections with nothing concrete being accomplished.
What does this mean in the long run? That 15-20 years down the road we'll be dealing with this same issue.

"Go in strength..."
When the L-rd sent His angel to Gideon, the L-rd told Gideon, “Go in strength…” (Judges 6:14).
When Gideon questioned the L-rd and suggested the L-rd choose someone else for the L-rd’s mission, the L-rd said, “I will be with you.” (Judges 6:16)
When Gideon built an altar to the L-rd, Gideon called it “The L-rd is Peace”.
When the L-rd knows we are struggling, He brings us a wonderful gift: the spirit of peace to calm the storm.
The L-rd brought this peace to Noah when he confronted the Flood. He brought this peace to Moses when he confronted the Pharaoh. He brought this peace to Esther when she confronted Haman. The L-rd brought this peace to David when he confronted Goliath. The L-rd also brought this same peace to Saul when he confronted the Gospels. The L-rd brought this peace to His Son when Christ was dying on the Cross.
With this spirit of peace, the L-rd gives us the strength to confront all our challenges in life.
As a nation, we, too, confront challenges. Some of us run from these challenges and fail to slay the giant. As a nation, the L-rd told his people to trust in Him as they confronted the giants.
Our Goliath today is the Terrorist. We need the strength of peace to accept our challenge to confront and slay the giants.

Well, well, Dems are at it, again!
One knew it wouldn't last long. The love fest in Congress seems to have taken a slap across the face, and it's a slap coming from of all places, the Main Stream Media.
Seems as if Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer have a past. Supposedly according to my Dem insiders within the Beltway, Nancy and Steny were interns together for a MD Senator many many years ago. The word is the two HATE, HATE each other.
No one seems to care why they hate each other, but it doesn't bode well for a unified leadership in the House. Nancy lost her first party battle on Thursday when her handpicked lapdog, go-boy, John Murtha, got a walloping in the election for the House Majority Leader. Did it have anything to do with his shaky lobby dealings that left him as an unindicted co-conspirator? Did it have anything to do with the fact that his election as Majority Leader might have shed the culture of corruption shadow over Nancy's new reign? Did it have anything to do with an investigation of his steering funds and business to his brother's lobbying business?
Then there's Nancy cold disdain for her congressional colleague from California. That issue will come out over the next few weeks depending on committee chairmanships. Time will tell whether Nancy will be debunked as some in the MSM are suggesting. Not to worry. Steny is now the Majority Leader, and if Nancy should strike out again, watch him lurk for the position of Speaker of the House. Apparently, Steny would love to see Nancy fail.
Folks, it's politics as usual inside the Beltway. The election doesn't seem to have changed anything. Oh, by the way, Nancy's first 100 hour plan seems to have been trashed, too!

Who Did The Duping?
Republicans are running around now blaming their election losses on Bush's removal of Rumsfeld after the election. Give me a break, GOP! You lost big time because you let power go to your head. True, that usually happens to a political party that has not been in power for so long. The truth, however, is that too many Republican elected officials lost sight of their conservative principles and became enamored with power.
Now, however, were the voters of Pennsylvania duped? On Monday, November 13 re-elected Governor Ed Rendell announced he is seeking a 13 cent tax on a gallon of gasoline as well as on motor oil products! Did he mention this before the election? Whether Fast-Eddie will admit it or not, he is openly asking for a tax increase. Who will this tax increase impact the most? Well, it will not be on the big oil companies. It is a tax on everyone but it's biggest impact will be on the lower socio-economic class as well as the middle class.
Hillary has announced that Hillary Health Care is back. She says the CEOs have endorsed it. Well, yeah, why wouldn't a CEO love to shift the healthcare burden to the government? Hillary might as well have announced she is going to raise your taxes.
Okay, you answer the question: Who did the duping?

Nickel Mines
On Monday, October 2, 2006 the world witnessed a heinous murder that sent shock waves reverberating globally. The devastating assassination of innocent young Amish girls in southeastern Lancaster County at the Nickel Mines Schoolhouse was a senseless, grotesque act of personal selfishness.
Yet from this tragedy comes a lesson for a lifetime. The Amish community used their own personal loss to give the English a lesson of Biblical proportions: Everlasting Faith and Eternal Grace.

Premptive Capitulation
Despite the Democrats in the US and their allies around the world opposed to Bush's Premptive Strike Policy, it seems they now see the value in premption. The Dem Libs now advocate Premption Capitulation which means don't offend terrorists, and they won't bother you.
Now that strategy is the same as saying to criminals, if you don't anger them or upset them, then criminals won't rob, steal, rape, or kill.
Couple that philosophy along with the Murtha Re-deployment of troops to Okinawa to stand ready in the Middle East is pure, unadulterated idiocy.
Premptive Capitulation and the Murtha Re-deployment strategy are the same as waving the white surrender flag.

Iraqi President: USA Presence PREVENTS Invasion
In a speech at the Woodrow Wilson Center, according to Agence France Press, yesterday Iraqi President Jalal Talabani said it plainly, "The American presence has always prevented any kind of foreign invasion to Iraq."
He added, "That's one of the main reasons why we think that we need an American presence even symbolical, in the country, to prevent our neighbors attacking us... I think that our neighbors must understand that our patience is limited... And we mean all of them!"
One more item from Talabani, "The immediate departure of coalition forces would only unleash the terrorists. I cannot promise when or how the American presence will completely end in Iraq but I can promise that American soldiers DO NOT FIGHT IN VAIN!" (emphasis mine)
A quick scan of this morning's New York Times shows no mention of the significant analysis by the Iraqi president.
